It is finally here…again! It feels like it was just yesterday that there were packs of ornaments filling the local grocery stores and kids playing with cans of fake spray snow, but one of the most fun parts of the creativeness in Christmas is making your own holiday decor. It’s easy, fun, affordable and a great way to occupy yourself during the holidays. So today there will be 3 fun DIY Christmas Decor ideas to learn about. First there is…

Sock Snowman

The things you will need:

  1. Socks
  2. Ribbon
  3. Buttons
  4. Orange Felt or other Fabric
  5. Dry Beans or Rice
  6. Cotton Ball

You start with taking your most important product to make this Christmas decoration which is a sock, fill it with some dry rice or beans then tie a knot in the middle of the sock with ribbon to make a look to where it is to big snowballs stacked on top of each other. Then take the buttons to make for eyes and down the body of the snowman. Next take some orange felt, cut it into a small triangle and use it for a nose, Attach all parts with glue, preferably hot glue. Lastly, use another sock and fold it at the end to use for a beanie hat on the snowman and glue a cotton ball at the end of it for a Santa hat look. That is it for a DIY sock snowman and it is a lot of fun to make.

Frosty Pine Cones

Things you will need:

  1. Pine cones
  2. White Paint
  3. White Glitter

For this super easy DIY you take your pine cones and on some of the tips of the edges on the pine cones you coat them in paint and sprinkle on some white glitter so it looks like snow. You can put these in your Christmas tree, mantel, or a centerpiece for your dinner table.

Finger Ornaments

Things you will need

  1. A plain glass ornament
  2. Paints

For this DIY you will need to take a plain glass ornament and paint a nice snow scene on the ornament or another Cchristmas related scene, but with this DIY you can press three of you fingers in white paint then on to the ornament, this will create snowmen!
