The Whole30 is a very strict diet.  Many people have failed and many have successfully succeeded this very hard challenge. According to health.com “ Whole30 is an elimination-style diet that asks dieters to ban all soy, dairy, grains, alcohol, legumes, and added sugars from their diet for 30 days straight.” This shows that, this diet is very hard to follow. In whole30.com it says the rules. Here are the rules to this tricky diet.

To whom may ever have this , no sugar either real or artificial. This includes, any type of syrup, honey, monk fruit extract,  if any of your food has sugar it’s not, and you failed the diet.

  • Do not eat grains. This means no bread(rye, wheat,), oats, barely, no corn, no rice, most gluten-free foods are good.
  •  No legumes. This is, no beans (black, red, pinto, navy, white, kidney, lima, fava, etc.) peas, chickpeas, not peanuts as well. This also includes all forms of soy, no soy sauce, or miso, tofu,].
  • No dairy at all. This includes cow, goat, or sheep’s milk products like milk, cream, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, or even frozen yogurt.
  • May not have while on the Whole30 is carrageenan, MSG, or sulfates. If these ingredients come up in your food, you have failed the diet.
  • Do not consume baked goods, junk foods, or treats with “approved” ingredients. This could be, cake, any type of junk food that are really fatty .

There are many foods that you can eat. For example, you can have meat, seafood, eggs, vegetables and fruit,  natural fats, and herbs, spices, and seasonings. If you eat something

There are many cost of tying to do this diet.  From Brad’s Deals, it states “$528.97, which works out to $5.88 per meal”. The Whole30 diet started in 2009. The history behind it is the diet, is a spinoff of the Paleo diet, is the brainchild of Melissa Hartwig and her ex-husband Dallas. They both developed the Whole30 in 2009 when Dallas was struggling with really bad shoulder pain, started the properties of certain foods.

When trying this diet there are many pros and cons. For example, from eatingwell.com, you can “lose 5 pounds in 10 days”. This could have you end up eating more healthier. Many people that have tried this diet have lost many pounds. Other then doing  a weight loss surgery. Now, cons, many of these items you could be allergic to. Also, you could possibly get really sick by only eating a little amount a day. Lastly, have no grains for a full month could’ve gotten you very sick. A typical meal for the Whole30 diet is for breakfast you could Possibly eat eggs, bacon,. For lunch, pizza is an option. Dinner, you could have salmon. Now you have a whole meal planned out.

In my opinion, if you need to lose a lot of weight then you should try this diet. If not, maybe this diet is not for you. Possibly another diet would be right for you to try because this one is very hard to complete. Many people are allergic to the foods you can have and you can’t have many other foods. If you are allergic, then would could possibly change the diet up a little bit.
