Need a November Treat? Well, here’s a suggestion; American flag cookies! These cookies are perfect for Election Day and Veteran’s Day. They are very easy to make, just follow these instructions! They are scrumptious, soft, and perfect for a nice little treat.

One bag of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

½ Cup of Butter, softened

1 Egg

Red, white, and blue frosting

Red, white, and blue sprinkles

  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Grease the cookie sheets

  3. Grab a large mixing bowl

  4. Crack an egg into the mixing bowl

  5.  In a different bowl, heat the butter in the microwave until softened

  6. Mix the egg, butter, and cookie mix until it forms dough

  7. Then bake the cookies in the oven for 8-10 minutes and if they are not done put them in for another 5 minutes

  8. Let the cookies sit when they are out of the oven for 5 minutes

Once the cookies are done cooling, its time to decorate them! Cut the cookies into any shape and grab the frosting. Put red frosting at the top, white in the middle, and lastly blue at the bottom. Spread it around until none of the cookie can be seen from the top. Then add the red, white, and blue sprinkles on the frosting. Put the red sprinkles on the red frosting, the white sprinkles on the white frosting, and the blue sprinkles on the blue frosting. After one cookie, move onto the next.
